The Outreach program team consists of a physiotherapist, a nurse, a prosthetist-orthotist and an occupational therapist. This team is supported by community health workers we have previously trained, village leaders and the family. The team provides services to persons with disabilities while also spreading awareness to the larger community. These activities are helpful in identification of new cases (who are referred to the rehabilitation centre if required), following up on old patients, home visits for physiotherapy & referring those who need medical treatment to local dispensaries and hospitals. Provision of mobility and other functional aids are also done as needed.
