CATHOLIC ARCHDIOCESE OF ARUSHA

The Catholic Archdiocese of Arusha is the spiritual home for close to 600,000 believers spread over an area of 67.340 km2. It was established on March 1, 1963 as Diocese of Arusha and promoted as Metropolitan Archdiocese of Arusha on March 16, 1999.

Under the auspicisous guidance of the Most Reverend Isaac Amani, who was installed the Archbishop on April 8, 2018, the archdiocese continues to grow and to prosper.

In cooperation with the development organisation AAIDRO projects such the Canaan Children’s Center, and St. John Paul II Rehabilitation Centre are being further developed.

As suffragan dioceses serve Mbulu, Moshi and Same Dioceses.
