The fostering and promotion of Christian vocation was stipulated by the first Archdiocesan Synod resolutions (August 2000). Great emphasis is still being put on the need for adequate fostering of the Christian vocation of the Laity, which is the basis for priestly and religious vocations. 

Vocation committees have been formed at the Small Christian Community, sub-parish, parish and Archdiocesan levels. These committees have the role of initiating vocation formation programs for the families, youth and children. 

The committees organize seminars and workshops in order to support the Catholic faithful in their endeavour to fostering and promoting not only the vocations to priesthood and religious life but also to the global Christian calling.
