Background Information

The development office of the Diocese of Arusha was initially established in the year 1984 after the severe food crisis in the diocese. The office was then named ADDO. Which stood for Arusha Diocesan Development Office. Ever since ADDO has implemented development projects through support from various donors and partners.

In August 2000 ADDO underwent transformation and AAIDRO was officially established after the Archdiocesan synod which resolved among other things to strengthen the development endeavor.
